Slept in this morning until about 9am. It had been very windy again last night and then the rain started early morning. When we looked outside from bed, the roads in the campsite were mostly flooded and muddy.
Expected our camper to have some damage after the winds last night but when we got up, all was good and it was almost totally dry in our annexe area. Just a small leak in one corner. We were very lucky with the campsite we were given as ours and the ones on either side were mostly dry, but most other sites were a muddy mess, with almost a small river running through some of them.
Found a nice sunny spot out of the wind near our car and spent the morning mostly watching the people come past or trying to dig channels for the water to drain away.
The sun was out today and there was blue sky so we took the opportunity to go for a walk down to the main plaza area. Found a note at the Info tent from Cynthia and Tony telling us where they were camping. They were in the same section as us but a few rows further back. We went to visit them and Cynthia ended up coming back to our campsite for a chat and a drink. We organized to meet up with them tomorrow and will carry the handheld UHF radio so we can find them in the plaza.
Had steak and veggies for dinner before the rain and wind started up again. Hopefully we will get some sleep tonight.
