It's good to be back on the road!!!

We left Alice Springs to do a few days exploring the East MacDonnell Ranges. The gorges and rockholes and the ranges are amazing. Everything looks so dry and then you come upon an oasis with water deep enough to swim. Did we swim? Hell no, the water is very cold, most of the water holes never see sunlight.

Today we visited Emily Gap, Jessie Gap, Corroboree Rock, John Hayes Rockhole, Trephina Gorge and Ross River Homestead, where we camped the night.

Ross River Homestead boasts that they have a bar and you can get meals. It's Saturday night, the bar closes at 430pm and no chance of a meal. It's not really worth the drive to come and stay here.
