Coober Pedy - the weirdest place on the planet. Most of the population live and work underground and the smart ones disappear south for the summer. Annual rainfall is minimal - and all you can see for miles is mullock heaps and blowers.
This is our 3rd time visiting and it was a whistle stop trip. Stayed, of course, at Riba's a little bit out of town - where there isn't much trouble as it's too far too walk.
There is much to do in town but we decided to do the 3 underground churches
The Catholic church is my favourite, whereas Michael prefers the Serbian church.
