Not much exciting happened today. Mainly just another day of driving, to get to Yulara where we will have a couple of "rest" days. Stopped at Erldunda Roadhouse to refuel the car and fill up our 4 Jerry cans with extra fuel for our Canning crossing, whilst the price is still "reasonable" ($2.82 per litre). Total fuel cost was about $480.

Arrived at the Ayres Rock Campground around mid afternoon and was able to get camping in the overflow area for $60 a night (WTF!!) as we didn't have a booking. This is a huge dirt area right next to the town's power station, so there is a constant background hum/rumble all day and night. There is a shuttle bus which leaves from the front of the campground every 20 minutes so we decided to eat out tonight and have a few drinks at one of the restaurants. Good food and nice ambience.

Up early tomorrow for sunrise at The Rock.

Drove 342km today. The weather is warming up nicely too and the sun finally has some warmth in it.
