This morning we decided to head into Longreach from the Apex Riverside Park to grab breakfast, and have a shower at the CWA building, just behind the Information Centre.

Afterwards, we checked in at the Info Centre to confirm if we had all of the tickets for our bookings for the next few days shows we are going to. They recommended a 50s style diner to get a good feed at, which was only a 5 minute walk away.

Arthur and Joan arrived in town whilst we were at the diner so we arranged to meet them at the QANTAS museum so we could buy tickets for Saturday's tours. We then headed off to the Darr River Bush Camp site where we will be camping for the next few nights. We let Arthur pick the spot to camp as he wanted to do some fishing and yabbying. 

Due to the big storm last night, everywhere was quite muddy but we found a suitable site, although it was quite close to the road, so we are going to get a lot of noise during the night. Whilst we were setting up camp, it rained on and off a few times, but we were both able to get setup ok. We sat around for a while chatting, and then did more of the same after dinner.

Tomorrow, Arthur and Joan will stay here whilst we head back into town in the morning for our Cobb and Co stagecoach tour.
